Crystal is a writer and researcher from Louisiana and is currently based in the Brazos Valley with her husband. 

In 2023 she graduated with her bachelor's in history. During her studies there, she presented her research on the history of women's healthcare in the U.S. at Texas A&M. She also served as the president of the English honor society, Sigma Tau Delta.

Her nonfiction work ranges from research papers to articles and op-eds. Her fiction often dabbles in the southern gothic genre while exploring themes of religion, trauma, and family.
